1. Thanks to the
Gracegirl for pointing out my
pluralizing problems.
2. But here is the bigger issue: how many words are pluralized by adding an "e" to the end? Seriously. I'm making a list so let me know.
3. You probably noticed the new banner picture. While I enjoyed the mosaic, this makes me think of lemonade and summertime. So even if it is 61 and overcast through the entire July 4th weekend at least my blog will have the feel of a backyard bbq.
4. The ever impressive
Phil Johnson has been
wikied.
5. Though some of you may see it differently, the many minutiae referring to Phil are not my blatant attempt to be blogspotted.
6. I returned to my
third place this morning for the first time in three weeks. I was greeted not only by happy baristas but also by new white cup wisdom. Here it is--
The Way I See It #37:
"Embrace this right now life while it's dripping, while the flavors are excellently woesome. Take your bites with bravery and boldness since the learning and the growing are here in these times, these exact right nows. Capture these times. Hold and kiss them because it will soon be very different."
I'm not really sure that I fully understand this pomobabble, not to mention the fact that the only entry on dictionary.com for
woesome makes me wonder how something could be "excellently woeful" or why I would want to embrace it. I did at least kiss my caramel macchiato--so maybe that counts. For more on author's opinions that do not necessarily reflect that of Starbucks you can

7. As we celebrate our nation's freedom this weekend we should remember with thankfulness those who sacrificed for it. But even more than that, as Christians we must remember that our personal freedom was costly and is binding:
You are not your own, you were bought with a price.
The
context (as always) is key, not to mention connected to yesterday's minutia #8, not to mention crucial for the purity of parts and hearts while celebrating with fireworks after dark.
